WILD KITTIES

WILD KITTIES, A young children’s animal book series about cats

“The first litter of kittens, basking in the sun, frolicking with Mama in the open field by the tree line. So happy and playful and most likely all hungry. This is where it started. I looked out the north side window and there they were, all beautiful, capturing my heart in that moment.

I’ve never turned back.

That first litter of kittens grew up in the small patch of woods outside my door. They all live inside with me now, rescue animals.”

But for my outside family they are the:

WILD KITTIES, A young children’s animal book series about cats

This is a series of young children’s books each depicting one of the kitties in Mama-cat’s second litter of kittens. A kitty named – Lil’ Grey tells the first children’s story. Lil Grey is a female cat and she has 2 other sisters and 1 brother. Her father is Big Grey and looks identical to her. Big Grey who we sometimes call Big Daddy comes to eat most days.

The rest of this children’s series of animal books may publish in this order:

Lil Grey, a female kitty who is all smoky grey.

Blackie is black with a reddish tint in the sunlight. She lets me pet her.

Minnie looks like Mama did, black with light gray ribbons around her neck and underside.

Grey and White, the only male is beautiful and resembles a wild leopard. He’s not quite spotted but his pattern is incredible and makes him look dangerous but he’s as playful as his sisters.

That’s the entire family but I will admit Mama’s first litter (that we know of) is inside the house with me. There are 2 girls and a boy, all with different and beautiful markings.

Benny, black and white tuxedo, silky soft hair and quite the singer.

Baby is a brindle color and she does not let us pet her though before spaying she was the easiest kitty to pick up and pet. Baby is more trusting than she used to be and enjoys all our play moments. She keeps her distance except when she’s getting treats or catnip. I have petted her head when she eats treats.

Rilee, who we almost lost, is a calico and is Amber’s advocate and spokeswoman. Rilee means brave warrior and we used to call her Braveheart. Rilee had a collapsed lung during her spaying but has since made a full recovery.

I may write further about these cats in the future but first I will publish the ‘Wild Kitty’ series.
